How Milaap ensures your donation is safe
Collect Supporting Documents
When someone starts a fundraiser, our team contacts them for supporting documents to ensure the cause is genuine, the recipient is legitimate, and funds are used appropriately.
Verify Beneficiary ID
Our Verifications team reviews the recipient to by collecting the KYC IDs - like Aadhaar, Pan, Driving License, etc. to ensure the funds reach the correct beneficiaries.
Swift Transfer
The funds will then be transferred to either the beneficiary or next-of-kin’s accounts or to a relevant entity such as the treating hospital, NGO, and vendors.
One Step Further In Ensuring Legitimacy
Verified Medical Illness
For medical campaigns, we verify the patient’s ailment and treatment expenditures from the hospitals from estimates or bills.

What If I Spot A Fraudulent Campaign?

While such cases are rare, if a fundraiser is found to be fraudulent, rest assured that Milaap will provide a full refund for your donation. If the fundraiser you have donated to has a ‘Tax Benefits’ banner then your donation will be eliglble for Tax-exemption. Please log-in and fill in your PAN and address details to receive your Tax-exemption at the end of each financial year.
